Robinson and Castagne return as Fulham face Hull - SportInsight

Antonee Robinson and Timothy Castagne are back in Fulham’s starting XI for a meeting with eighth-placed Hull, replacing Kenny Tete and Ryan Sessegnon. Fulham go with a 4-2-3-1; Hull make three changes and set up in a 5-4-1 for Saturday’s 15:00 BST kick-off.

Robinson and Castagne return to the side after Fulham’s last league match against Ipswich Town. Bernd Leno starts in goal, with David Affengruber and Calvin Bassey alongside the returning full-backs. Sander Berge and Shea Charles anchor the midfield, behind Oscar Bobb, Josh King and Alex Iwobi, with Gonzalo García leading the line.

Tete and Sessegnon drop to the bench, which also includes Ryan Sessegnon, Kenny Tete, Joachim Andersen, César Palacios, Tom Cairney, Manuel Ángel Morán, Kevin and Rodrigo Muniz, alongside goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte. Hugo Larsson is unavailable with a groin injury.

Hull have made three changes from their previous league game, against Everton. Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Lucas Herrington and Mohamed Belloumi come into the starting team, replacing Joe Gelhardt, Nobel Mendy and Ryan Giles. Gelhardt and Giles are among the substitutes.

Konstantinos Tzolakis starts behind a back five of Lewie Coyle, Semi Ajayi, John Egan, Herrington and Norton-Cuffy. Belloumi joins Matt Crooks, Regan Slater and Sorba Thomas in midfield, with Oli McBurnie up front. Hull’s bench also includes Dillon Phillips, Paddy McNair, Elliot Stroud, Hidemasa Morita, Jens Hjertø-Dahl, Tim Iroegbunam and Robinio Vaz.

The league positions give the fixture added weight: Fulham are 20th with two points from six games, while Hull are eighth on nine. Fulham will be looking to turn Robinson and Castagne’s returns into a stronger starting platform; Hull arrive with a reshaped side and a chance to protect their place in the top half.

Hull have eight players unavailable: Charlie Hughes, Darko Gyabi, Eliot Matazo, Ilyas Ansah, Jack Butland, Lucas Gourna-Douath, Matt Targett and Mohamed-Ali Cho. Targett and Cho are among the notable absentees. The match kicks off at 15:00 BST on Saturday, 17 October.
