Write for us

Know your league? Write about it.

We publish guides and stories for fans, clubs and the people who run sports sites. We don’t pay for posts. You get your name on the piece, a short bio with one link, and an editor who helps you make it good.

No fee either way: we don’t pay for posts, and we never charge to publish one.

What we publish

Pieces that help people follow, run or publish sport.

Three kinds work best. If yours is something else, send it anyway.

  • Guides

How-tos for fans, clubs and the people who run sports sites.

For example: a match-day post that works, or a club website in an hour a week.
  • League and club stories

The leagues and clubs you know better than any data feed: lower divisions, women’s football, a season seen from the stands.

For example: what to know before your first away day in a regional league.
  • For publishers

What works on a sports site, from the people who run one: newsletters, live blogs, search, a small team’s week.

For example: how a two-person site covers a whole league.

Not for us: betting tips and previews written for bets, press releases, and posts written to place a link.

What you get

We don’t pay. Here’s what you get.

  • Your name on itA byline with your name and photo, on the post and in the list of posts.
  • A bio with one linkTwo lines about you, with one link to your site or profile.
  • An editorWe read every draft and send notes. You see the final version before it goes live.
  • ReadersThe post goes out in our New posts email and stays on the blog with your name.
Before you write

A few rules.

  • Your own work, published here first. Not on another site, before or after. Once it’s live, share an excerpt with a link to it.
  • 800 to 2,000 words. Plain English and short paragraphs. Photos only if you hold the rights.
  • Facts with a source. We check every number against our data before the post goes live.
  • Written by you. Spelling and grammar tools are fine; articles written by AI tools aren’t.
  • Links to sources only, plus the one in your bio. No betting, casino, tipster or paid links.
  • We edit, and we can say no. You keep the copyright and give us the right to publish the post here.

Questions.

Something else? Write to us and a person answers.

Do you pay for posts?

No, and we never charge to publish one either. You get a byline, a bio with one link, an editor and our readers.

Can I add links?

One in your bio, to your own site or profile. In the text, only links to sources. No betting, casino, tipster or paid links.

Can I post it on my own site too?

Not in full: we publish it first and only here. Once it’s live, share an excerpt with a link to the post.

Can I use AI tools?

For spelling and grammar, yes. The writing has to be yours: we don’t publish articles written by AI tools.

I run a club. Can I write about it?

Yes, if it’s a story for everyone. Club news and match reports belong on your free club page: claim it from For clubs.
