Ipswich Town are giving one fan the chance to win their new black-and-gold third shirt by entering a giveaway during the club’s Matchday Live show before Saturday’s Premier League trip to Manchester City. The club announced that a winner will be picked at random after the pre-match programme ends.

Fans can enter by watching the live show on TownTV or YouTube and posting in the live chat or comments about what makes them proud to support Ipswich. The club says some of the messages will be read out during the programme. Full terms and conditions are available through its announcement.

Ipswich revealed the shirt on Friday. Created in collaboration with the fan-led art collective Call Me Ted, the black-and-gold design is set to be worn for the first time at the Etihad Stadium, the club said. It is also available to pre-order from the club shop.

The giveaway connects the new kit with the supporters who inspired its creation. Ipswich said the shirt celebrates the club and the people who make it, and invited fans watching from around the world to share why they are proud to be Town supporters.

The competition takes place ahead of a significant Premier League test. Ipswich travel to face Manchester City on Saturday, October 17, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm BST. They are 10th after six league games, having recorded three wins and three defeats for a total of nine points.

The shirt’s first outing is planned for the City match, while the giveaway winner will be chosen once Matchday Live has finished. Fans can take part through either of the club’s stated viewing platforms.
