Nottingham Forest’s search for a first home win of the season faces a stern test against second-placed Arsenal on Sunday, after a narrow defeat by Coventry City in their most recent match.
The game will be Forest’s first at the City Ground since the middle of September and their only first-team home fixture this month. A result would end the wait for a victory on home soil; the opposition arrive with 15 points from six Premier League games, having won five and lost one.
Oliver Glasner is due to preview the match at a press conference on Friday, 16 October. Forest said he would take questions from local and national media at around 1.30pm BST. The press conference will be available live to Forest TV subscribers, while the club’s live blog will carry updates.
Forest’s last outing ended in a narrow loss to Coventry, so Sunday offers a chance to respond in front of their home support. But the challenge is clear: Arsenal have taken five wins from their opening six league matches and sit second. Forest will need to turn their return to the City Ground into more than a change of venue if they are to break their home-win drought.
Kick-off is scheduled for 4.30pm BST on Sunday, 18 October. The fixture gives Forest a chance to claim their first home victory of the campaign against one of the Premier League’s top two, while Arsenal arrive with a strong early-season points return.
