Fanatik says Galatasaray are preparing a possible January move for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and may let Leroy Sané leave to pursue him. The claim, relayed by The Peoples Person, is unconfirmed and does not mean United have accepted an offer or Fernandes has agreed to go.

The Turkish outlet says Fernandes is frustrated with United’s direction, as is defender Lisandro Martínez. Fanatik claims Fernandes is “tired of praising the club’s history” and wants the management to set out a clearer vision. It also says recent criticism has brought him closer to leaving and that he wants a January departure after rejecting a new contract offer in recent weeks.

That is one account of negotiations that remain unresolved. A recent report relayed by The Peoples Person said talks had made no progress, citing “broken promises and doubts over the club’s ambition” as reasons for Fernandes’ reluctance. That report also said discussions were ongoing and a breakthrough was still possible.

Fernandes’ current contract is due to expire next summer, with United holding a one-year extension option. The Peoples Person says reports about the contract have indicated that the club wants to keep him. The extension would give United more time to decide whether to commit to Fernandes for the longer term or consider a sale, but it would not resolve the longer-term question by itself.

Galatasaray’s interest is not new, according to The Peoples Person, which gave the latest report an overall credibility rating of five out of 10. Its assessment was that the Turkish club may have genuine interest, while the claims about Fernandes’ contract and a January exit remain speculation tied to the uncertainty around negotiations.

United are 13th after six league matches, with one win, three draws and two defeats. Their next fixture is away to Leeds on Sunday, 18 October, at 14:00 BST. For now, the transfer story hinges on whether contract talks can produce a breakthrough before January; Fanatik has named a possible destination, but no move has been confirmed.
