Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s 51st-minute goal earned Leeds United a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Elland Road, keeping Leeds six places above their visitors after seven Premier League games. Bryan Mbeumo had put United in front before half-time, but Tarik Muharemović assisted the equaliser shortly after the break.

United led 1-0 at the interval after Mbeumo scored in the 35th minute, with Youri Tielemans providing the assist. Leeds levelled six minutes into the second half when Muharemović set up Calvert-Lewin. Neither side added another goal, and the points were shared.

The draw leaves Leeds seventh on 10 points from seven matches. Manchester United are 13th with seven points from the same number of games, a three-point gap between the sides. Leeds’ recent league sequence is DLDWD, while United’s is DDDLD; in both sequences, the latest result is listed first.

For Leeds, Calvert-Lewin’s goal turned a half-time deficit into a point and kept them in seventh place. United leave Elland Road with a point but remain six positions below Leeds in the table. The result leaves both sides with a quick opportunity to add to their totals in their next league fixtures.

Leeds travel to Sunderland on Sunday 25 October, with kick-off at 16:30 GMT. Manchester United host Bournemouth earlier that day, at 14:00 GMT. Leeds will look to carry their point into an away fixture, while United return to Old Trafford seeking a win that would improve their position after seven games.
