Roma need a response after losing to Real, but supporters heading to Saturday’s Genoa match face a simpler test before kick-off: a valid ticket or season pass must be loaded on a phone. Screenshots will not get fans through the Olimpico turnstiles.
The access rules apply to both tickets and season passes. Roma season passes are available only through the “Il Mio Posto” app. Match tickets can be opened in the app or added to the wallet on an iOS or Android phone. Fans using a ticket in their phone wallet can enter with NFC by holding the device near the reader.
That makes checking the ticket before leaving home essential. A screenshot is not an alternative if the app or wallet entry is unavailable at the turnstile. Supporters who need help can visit Box 4 on Via Nigra, which will be open from 18:45 until kick-off.
The Olimpico gates open at 18:45 for the 20:45 CEST kick-off on Saturday, 17 October. The club’s advice, reported by ForzaRoma.info, is to arrive at least 90 minutes before the match and allow time to enter without a last-minute rush at the turnstiles.
There is a sporting reason for Roma fans to want a smooth evening. Roma sit third with 14 points from six league matches and have not lost in Serie A, but they are looking to recover from the defeat to Real. Genoa arrive in 17th place with four points and a win behind them; the visitors are managed by Daniele De Rossi.
For Roma, the match is an opportunity to turn the league position into a response on the pitch. For supporters, the immediate priority is more basic: make sure the digital pass or ticket is ready on the device before reaching the stadium.
