Parma have four points from six games and sit 18th as Alberto Gilardino takes charge for the first time against Torino. The hosts need a result to begin climbing away from the bottom of Serie A; Torino arrive looking to build on their 2-1 win over Udinese.

Gilardino replaced Cuesta and is expected to set Parma up in a 3-5-2. Corvi is tipped to start in goal, behind Diego Carlos, Troilo and Delprato. Britschgi and Valeri are projected as wing-backs, with Keita, Bernabé and Sierro in midfield. Touré and Romero are expected to lead the attack.

Parma come into the match after a defeat. Their options are affected by several absences: A. Ndiaye has a knock, H. Nicolussi Caviglia a groin injury and P. Almqvist a calf injury. Elphege is expected to miss several matches after an operation for appendicitis. Lontani is listed as a possible option from the bench.

The visitors are 12th with seven points from six matches: two wins, one draw and three defeats. Ignazio Abate’s side are expected to use a 3-4-1-2, with Perri in goal and Comuzzo, Coco and Rodríguez in defence. Belghali and Cacciamani are projected on the flanks, with Mandragora and Bragança in central midfield.

Bragança scored in his only league appearance this season, while Cacciamani has neither a goal nor an assist in his one appearance. Vlasic is expected behind Adams and Giovanni Simeone, with Adams set to return to the starting line-up after injury. Torino’s recent win gives them a platform; Parma’s priority is making Gilardino’s first match count in the standings.

The seventh-round fixture closes the Serie A schedule on Monday, 19 October, at 20:45 CEST at the Tardini. It will be shown on DAZN and Sky Sport Calcio, with streaming available through DAZN, Sky Go and NOW.
