Milan tracking Nicolò Tresoldi as reported price tops €50m - SportInsight

Gerry Cardinale has asked AC Milan’s recruitment team to keep close tabs on Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi, with the forward’s reported valuation now above €50 million, according to Calciomercato.com and La Gazzetta dello Sport. The reports describe a monitoring operation, not a bid or an agreement between the clubs.

Calciomercato.com says Cardinale wants regular updates on Tresoldi’s situation and contact maintained with his representatives. The outlet reports that Milan have been following the Italian-German forward for some time and have compiled numerous scouting reports. Tuttomercatoweb also describes the interest as long-standing.

Tresoldi’s recent Champions League performance against Inter has sharpened the story: Calciomercato.com reports that he scored a hat-trick against the Italian champions at San Siro on Tuesday. Inter are among the clubs monitoring him, according to the outlet, alongside Arsenal, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Tottenham.

The financial hurdle is already significant. Brugge reportedly rejected a €35 million offer from Roma in August, and Tresoldi is under contract until June 2029. Calciomercato.com puts his current valuation above €50 million, a rise that would make any Milan approach substantially more expensive than Roma’s rejected proposal.

The 2004-born striker’s record helps explain the competition. Calciomercato.com credits him with 32 goals in 69 appearances for Brugge and 16 goals in 27 matches for Germany’s under-21 team.

Milan may also have a personal connection to build on. Tresoldi is a declared Rossoneri supporter, and Calciomercato.com reports that his father, former Atalanta full-back Emanuele Tresoldi, has acknowledged the importance of that attachment. The outlet suggests it could help bring Brugge to the negotiating table, drawing a comparison with Swiss midfielder Ardon Jashari’s move from Brugge to Milan in summer 2025. That is a possible route to talks, not evidence of an agreed transfer.

Calciomercato.com says Cardinale wants Milan prepared to act in either the winter window or next summer. For now, the reported plan is to track Tresoldi’s future while a high asking price and a crowded field of suitors shape the next steps.
