Lazio’s 3-0 win at Juventus gives them a six-game unbeaten Serie A run to take into Saturday’s home match with Parma. But Gennaro Gattuso has told his players to focus on the next fixture, not their position in the table.

Lazio are third on 16 points after five wins and one draw. Their latest victory came in Turin, where Alessio Provstgaard headed them in front, Gustav Isaksen doubled the lead after the break and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru added a late third. It was Gattuso’s first win as a coach at Juventus.

The result also offered a clear contribution from two of Lazio’s scorers: Isaksen has two league goals in two games this season, while Dele-Bashiru has one. The team now turns from that away performance to a home meeting with Parma, with the unbeaten run and strong start on the line.

Gattuso credited his players after the Juventus match, telling DAZN they deserved the praise. He described the group as “a beautiful family” and said the players made his job easier. He also reflected on how his approach to coaching has changed. Years ago, he said, frustration with certain attitudes had made him consider quitting; now he listens more, while keeping firm expectations on two or three things.

Experiences abroad have helped Gattuso manage players with different ways of working, he said. He acknowledged that handling those differences during the week takes effort, and praised Lazio’s club for building the squad on a limited budget. His message to the players was to earn confidence through hard work and take the season one match at a time.

That makes Parma the immediate measure of whether Lazio can carry their momentum forward without getting distracted by the standings. Gattuso’s instruction is direct: leave the Juventus result behind and prepare for the next test. Lazio host Parma on Saturday, 24 October, at 20:45 CEST.
