Lazio arrive in Turin unbeaten in six Serie A games, while Juventus must make their push without Luciano Spalletti on the touchline. The visitors have taken 16 points from five wins and a draw; Juventus have 11 after three wins, two draws and one defeat. A home victory would cut the gap to two points. An away win would stretch it to eight.
Spalletti is suspended, and Calciomercato.com reports that Marco Domenichini will take charge on matchday. Juventus also have seven players unavailable: Ekhator, Yildiz, Thuram-Ulien, Locatelli, Owusu, Grabara and Milik. That leaves Domenichini with a sizeable selection challenge against a Lazio side who beat Monza 3-1 in their latest league outing.
The projected Juventus XI has Vicario in goal behind Kalulu, Bremer and Lucumi, with Cambiaso and Francisco Conceição on the flanks. Sarr and Douglas Luiz are expected in midfield, while Nico Gonzalez and McKennie support Kolo Muani.
Lazio have one player back in the squad list: Luca Pellegrini, reinstated ahead of the trip. Cancellieri, Gudmundsson, Furlanetto, Rovella, Marusic and Przyborek remain unavailable, according to Calciomercato.com. Its projected XI has Mandas behind Sutalo, Floriani Mussolini, Provstgaard and Tavares; Belahyane, Frattesi and Taylor form the midfield, with Isaksen, Noslin and Zaccagni up front.
Juventus need a better league performance than their recent record suggests: they have won only once in their last four Serie A matches. Their 2-1 comeback win away to Celta Vigo in the Europa League offers a boost after a 1-1 draw with Cagliari. Spalletti has praised Gennaro Gattuso’s work and highlighted Lazio’s threat, including the qualities of Davide Frattesi, whom he knows well.
The recent head-to-head record also gives Lazio reason for confidence: they have won two of the last five meetings, with one Juventus win and two draws. The latest finished 2-2 at the Allianz Stadium in February 2026. Juventus’ only win in that run was 1-0 at home in October 2024.
There is a family connection in the stands, too. Calciomercato.com reports that Sergio Conceição, Francisco’s father and a former Lazio player, will attend. Kick-off is Sunday 18 October at 20:45 CEST at the Allianz Stadium. Juventus need the points to close the gap; Lazio can strengthen their position with another result against a title-chasing rival.
