Inter are in talks with Barilla over a possible sponsorship that could make the Italian food company the club’s official pasta partner. No agreement has been reached, and the financial terms, duration and form of any collaboration remain undisclosed.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported the negotiations. If they result in a deal, Barilla would join Inter’s commercial partners as the club continues efforts to grow revenue through sponsorship agreements. The scale of those deals can vary: Inter’s latest reported agreement was with Spanish bank BBVA, which became a sleeve sponsor in a contract worth €8.5 million a year.

The potential partnership would bring a familiar name from Italian football into Inter’s commercial network. Barilla sponsored Roma shirts for 12 seasons, from 1982 to 1994, and its name was on the shirt during Roma’s 1983 Serie A title-winning campaign. That history gives the talks added resonance, but it is not evidence that a new agreement with Inter is complete.

Food-sector sponsorship would also have precedent at Inter. The club renewed its partnership with pasta company La Molisana in 2023, with the agreement running through 2026. The reports on Barilla do not explain whether a new arrangement would replace that partnership or how the two brands might fit alongside each other.

For now, the story is about negotiations rather than a confirmed addition to Inter’s sponsors. Any deal would add another major Italian brand to the club’s commercial portfolio, but its value and practical details will depend on the terms eventually agreed. Until then, Barilla’s possible role as Inter’s official pasta partner remains a proposal, not an announcement.
