Ciccio Graziani’s verdict on Milan and Juventus is that both clubs could have handled their attacking recruitment better: Milan should have added Moise Kean alongside Gonçalo Ramos, while Juventus left their move for Nick Woltemade too late.

Speaking to Radio Sportiva, Graziani said Kean could have improved Milan’s attack and pointed out that Como signed the forward. He also named Gianluca Scamacca and Andrea Pinamonti as players who might have helped. His criticism comes as Ramos has yet to record a goal or assist in his one league appearance for Milan.

That is not a definitive assessment of Ramos, but it underlines the question Graziani is raising: whether Milan added enough attacking options. His argument is about the choices available in the market, not just the performance of one new signing.

Graziani was more guarded about Woltemade, saying he had seen the Juventus forward play only a little and wanted to wait a few league rounds before reaching a firm judgment. But he criticised the timing of the deal. “You can’t wait until the last day of the transfer market to sign Woltemade,” he said. If what he had seen was representative, Graziani added, Juventus had wasted time and Woltemade was “not a Juventus player”.

His comments put the focus on both recruitment decisions, though the criticism is different: Milan, in Graziani’s view, passed up potential alternatives for the attack; Juventus waited too long to bring in Woltemade. His reservations about the player himself remain provisional.

Graziani also challenged the VAR decision that ruled out a Sassuolo goal after a foul was called on Ramos. He said there was no foul and argued that, under the guidelines associated with Orsato, VAR should not have intervened.

Milan are fifth with 12 points from six games, one point and one place ahead of sixth-placed Juventus. Milan host Atalanta on 18 October, with Juventus hosting Lazio later that evening. Both have an immediate chance to add points, while Graziani’s questions about their attacking choices give those fixtures extra context.
