Gattuso to address media as Lazio prepare for five-point lead over Juventus

Lazio arrive at Juventus five points ahead in Serie A, and Gennaro Gattuso will speak to the media at 12:30 on Saturday before the teams meet the following evening. Lazio are second after collecting 16 points from their first six matches; Juventus are sixth on 11.

The gap gives Gattuso’s news conference a clear backdrop: Lazio have started the league unbeaten, while Juventus have won three, drawn two and lost once. The sides meet in Turin on Sunday, 18 October, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 CEST. A Lazio win would keep their unbeaten start intact; Juventus have the chance to cut the difference between them.

Gattuso’s press conference will take place in the media room at Lazio’s Training Center. The club has announced that supporters can watch it live on sslazio.it, the official Lazio app, the club’s YouTube channel and Sportitalia. It will also be carried by Lazio Style Radio, which is available on FM at 89.3 MHz.

The appearance gives Gattuso a chance to address the Juventus fixture on the eve of the trip. The announcement does not specify what he will discuss, but the league positions make the contrast between the teams’ opening six games central to the build-up: Lazio have five more points and are yet to lose, while Juventus have taken 11 from a record of three wins, two draws and one defeat.

Media accreditation requests for the conference must be sent to accrediti@sslazio.it by 16:00 on Thursday, 16 October. The focus then shifts to Sunday’s match, where Lazio’s unbeaten record and five-point advantage will be tested against a Juventus side currently sixth.
