Antonio Raimondo scored three times to give Frosinone a third consecutive home victory, beating Sassuolo 4-2 after the visitors twice answered their scoring. Two goals in four first-half minutes put the striker at the centre of the contest, before his 57th-minute hat-trick goal restored a two-goal lead that Sassuolo could not reduce again.

Giacomo Calò started the scoring in the ninth minute. Frosinone’s initial advantage lasted only six minutes, however, as Domenico Berardi equalised in the 15th, with Darryl Bakola providing the assist. That response brought Sassuolo level for the only time in a match featuring six goals from four scorers.
Raimondo put Frosinone back in front in the 26th minute and struck again in the 30th to make it 3-1. His quick double changed the task for Sassuolo: having cancelled out the opening goal, they now needed two to get back on terms. Frosinone would not surrender the lead a second time.
Kristian Thorstvedt pulled one back in the 37th minute, ensuring the visitors went into the interval just one goal behind. Five goals had arrived inside the opening 37 minutes, with both of Sassuolo’s replies keeping them within a goal of their hosts. At 3-2, the result was still open.
Raimondo supplied the only goal of the second half. His third, in the 57th minute, made it 4-2 and completed a hat-trick spanning 31 minutes. This time Frosinone preserved their two-goal cushion through to the final whistle, turning a first half of repeated scoring into a victory without another Sassuolo reply.
The hosts also finished ahead on the main shooting measures. Frosinone registered 21 attempts to Sassuolo’s 14, with 10 shots on target against six. Raimondo accounted for three of their four goals, but the team’s overall output gave the win substance beyond his individual contribution: they produced seven more attempts and tested the target four more times.
Sassuolo had more possession, taking 58% to Frosinone’s 42%, but that larger share of the ball did not bring a greater number of shooting opportunities. Frosinone also edged the corners 5-4. The contrast between possession and attempts helps explain the result without treating time on the ball as a measure of which side did more with it.
For Frosinone, this was an immediate response to their 3-0 defeat away to Napoli. Their seven league matches have now brought four wins, one draw and two defeats, while three straight home victories have helped put them in fifth place. They have 13 points and a goal difference of plus four after scoring four here.
Sassuolo’s two goals extended their scoring run to nine matches, but their away winless sequence reached 10. Berardi’s equaliser and Thorstvedt’s goal both brought them back within reach; neither was enough to offset the four conceded. They followed a 1-1 home draw with AC Milan with a defeat that leaves them on two wins, two draws and three losses from seven league games.
