Akor Adams strikes as Venezia beat Napoli 1‑0

Akor Adams scored four minutes into the second half to give Venezia a 1-0 Serie A win over Napoli on Saturday, 17 October. Simon Sohm supplied the assist for the match’s only goal.

The sides went into half-time level at 0-0. Venezia broke the deadlock in the 49th minute, when Adams finished the move created by Sohm. The goal proved decisive: Napoli did not find an equaliser, and Venezia held on for the win.

The result gives Venezia a home victory over Napoli, settled by one early second-half moment. Adams was the scorer; Sohm’s assist set up the goal that separated the sides.

Venezia’s next fixture is away to Genoa on Sunday, 25 October, with kick-off at 15:00 CET. Napoli return home a day earlier, on Saturday, 24 October, to face AS Roma at 18:00 CEST. Both sides now turn to those league fixtures after a contest decided by Adams’s strike.
