We cover 1,886 competitions in eight sports, from the Champions League to regional fourth tiers. They do not all come with the same detail, because each competition publishes a different amount. The coverage page shows how much detail each one has, so you know what you get before you pay.
Live scores
A check means we follow the competition's matches while they are played: the score and the minute change as the match goes on. "Results" means the matches have kick-off times and final scores, but we do not follow them live yet. We check this every hour against the matches of the last 30 days.
Standings
A check means the competition has a league table in the feed, updated after each matchday. Knock-out competitions such as national cups show "Draw" instead, because they have rounds rather than a table. Tennis has draws and results for every tour.
Statistics
This is where competitions differ most.
| Level | What a match has |
|---|---|
| Full | Team statistics or line-ups for at least half of the matches in the last 30 days |
| Basic | The key events, such as goals and cards with the minute, or statistics for some matches |
| Scores | The final score and the result |
The big first divisions are usually Full. Second and third tiers are often Basic. Regional and youth competitions are often Scores, and for a local newspaper or a club site that is frequently all they need: the fixture list, the results and the table.
Match context
Match context is the part of Insights that turns the data into facts: unbeaten runs, home and away records, table gaps, comebacks. "Yes" means the competition has enough history for these facts. "Limited" means it is too new in the feed or plays too few matches, so the facts are thin.
Levels are measured, not promised. We recount them every hour from the data itself, so a competition can move up as soon as its matches carry more detail.
Checking a league before you buy
- Open the coverage page and choose the sport.
- Search for the competition or pick its country.
- Open the competition: its page shows the table, the latest results and the next fixtures, exactly as the feed has them today.
Common questions
- Do I pay more for a Full competition?
- No. A sport's plan includes every competition of that sport, whatever its level.
- A competition I need is missing. Can you add it?
- Tell us on the contact page which one, and we check whether its data is available.
- Why does a league show "Results" for live scores?
- Because we have not followed one of its matches live in the last 30 days. Between seasons this happens for leagues that are not playing.
